Our most affordable model, the single stage MACguard system filters and protects your family's water. By accurately measuring water use, it eliminates the guesswork for filter changes. As the filter needs to be replaced, this system slows water flow to a trickle to prevent overuse that can compromise water quality. It includes a 1-year warranty on all parts.

Kinetico Drinking Water Filters are equipped with a monitoring device called MACguard (the “MAC” stands for Metered Automatic Cartridge). MACguard offers you the ultimate in protection by measuring the amount of water the unit has filtered and slowing down the system when its 500 gallon (1895 litres) capacity has been reached (about a year’s worth of drinking water for an average family of four). Without MACguard, filters can be overused and lose their filtration ability. MACguard ensures you and your family won’t get a drop of unfiltered water.
